Associate Producer

Dottie Cannon

Originally from Minnesota, Dottie moved to New York City in 2011 after networking through a single source on LinkedIn.

According to her immediate family, Dottie’s passion for the arts stems from her natural inclination for the theatrics. As a child, she participated in dance classes for more than 16 years, developed an ear from piano lessons and music theory classes for 12 years, and explored a variety of other musical instruments, including the clarinet, bassoon, and violin.

During her time in high school, Dottie danced as a chorus member in the annual musical production. As an impressionable teenager, this solidified her love of the arts. Even before moving to New York, she sought out any and all creative opportunities in the Twin Cities area, including regional theatre tours and local small stage productions.

Since 2015, Dottie has documented attendance to more than 475 productions both here and abroad, and there are undoubtedly numerous others.

Ever learning and growing, Dottie is committed to expanding her knowledge base, identifying where her business skills could make an impact, and supporting the arts financially – her first investment and exposure to a fraction of the process was The Secret Garden at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Dottie currently lives in Manhattan with her husband, twin toddlers, and dog. Throughout the week, Dottie shifts her energy between family, friends, and personal time – whether attending a play or musical, reading for book club, or volunteering locally and abroad.
